A couple of weeks ago (the weekend of the street market saint and crunchy fall leaves), Christian and I ventured into the city center for Amsterdam's Bokbier Festival. Bokbier is sweet, dark autumn beer and is really tasty during the harvest season. What was meant to be just a few samplings turned into a 3-hour bokbier extravaganza! It was early Saturday evening and the place had tons of beers to sample. A few hours later, we walked out of the place tipsy and smiley--we had become full-on autumn beer enthusiasts! Throw in some Thai takeout on the way home and we labeled it a pretty satisfying fall day :).
I'm going to kick off this weekend with one last bokbier--winter is just around the corner after all ;).
