Around this time last year, the cold front moved in and the snow just wouldn’t stop falling! Coming from California, I always appreciate a good snowfall. I love Amsterdam in general but when it’s covered in snow, it’s absolutely breathtaking. There is a silence that takes over the city and all you can do is walk around the canals staring at how beautiful the scenery is—and that’s exactly what we did! It was definitely cold outside, but that just gives a good reason to pop into a café and order a hot chocolate :). Well it’s now inching towards mid-December and there is still no snow in Amsterdam...boo hoo! Although I love the lack of subzero temperatures lately, I can’t help but wish, just a little bit, that there was a snowy winter wonderland outside right now. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that we can hopefully celebrate Christmas in Holland with a fresh snowfall, but until then, take a peek at how amazing a snowy, snowy Amsterdam is!
